Polio drive enters second day.
HYDERABAD -- A three days long polio eradication campaignwhich began on Monday in all districts of Sindh province to administer polio vaccine to children of under five-year age have entered the second consecutive day.
Member District Polio Control Room (DPCR) and Senior Medical Health Office Sindh government, Dr Ashfaque Qureshi informed reporter here on Tuesday, that besides, administering polio drops, the vaccination teams also administering Vitamin-A drops to children of under fiver years age.
He further informed that besides immunization against polio drops, the vaccination teams will also administer the capsules of Vitamin A to children from age of 6 months to 6 years.
Dr Ashfaque Qureshi informed that a total of 882 mobile vaccination teams will carry out door to door vaccination to administer the drops to 32,8542 children of under five years age, he informed and added that the vaccination of children will also be carried out at 110 fixed points and 23 transit points of the district.
He said the medical staff made all-out efforts to make the anti-polio campaign a success, and thousands of children were administered polio drops.
Dr Ashfaque also called upon the media persons to extend their full cooperation with the polio teams and create awareness among the people to save their children from Polio by immunizing Polio drops to them.
