Police takes action against 280 underage drivers in Rawalpindi.

RAWALPINDI -- The City Traffic Police, conducting operation against underage drivers, have taken action against 280 drivers below 18 years age.

Chief Traffic Officer Syed Ishtiaq Hussain Shah said that strict action is being taken against underage drivers and no one will be spared in this regard as underage drivers are a major cause of road accidents.

He said that the kid-drivers do not know the traffic rules and do over speeding, racing, one-wheeling etc. He said that all wardens and other traffic police officials have been directed to immediately impound the motorcycles and vehicles driven by underage drivers.

The CTO also appealed to the parents not to handover motorcycles and vehicles to their children until they acquire driving licence.
