Police seal off area in attack probe.

POLICE were today investigating an attack on a man in Coventry at the weekend.

The 30-year-old man was found in D'Aubeny Road, off Prior Deram Walk, Canley, at about 12.30am on Saturday with serious head injuries.

He was taken to hospital and treated in intensive care.

Det Insp Matt Markham, of Chace Avenue Police, said: "A man was found in D'Aubeny Road with head injuries.

"He is presently in a stable condition in hospital.

"There was an assault which we are looking into."

Three men were later arrested. They are currently on police bail pending further inquiries.

Officers spent much of Saturday conducting a fingertip search at the scene.

A large area was cordoned off and officers trawled through bins searching for clues.

Their search also took them on to roofs of nearby properties.

A BMW car was placed under two tents while scenes-of-crimes officers looked for forensic evidence.
