Police quiz man over dad's death.

POLICE across Ireland were last night told to call off a hunt for a man wanted for interview after the 'suspicious death' of his own father.

Gardai and RUC officers had been watching ports and airports all day in the hope of finding 49-year-old Englishman Stephen Burgin.

Detectives in Oldham, near Manchester, said they were worried for his safety.

They had contact the two forces in Ireland to explain how the draftsman worked most of the year in Ireland.

He is thought to have friends and workmates from across the country.

But yesterday afternoon Mr Burgin, from Bagnell Close, Saddleworth, handed himself in at a Manchester police station and was being questioned.
