Police officer, wife found dead in caravan.

The couple is suspected to have died after inhaling a suffocating gas believed to have leaked from the AC while they were asleep.

The Fujairah Police have found the bodies of a police officer and his wife in the bedroom of a wooden caravan. The couple is suspected to have died after inhaling a suffocating gas believed to have leaked from the AC while they were asleep.

A source at the Dibba Fujairah Police said the Ajman Police reported that an Emirati officer and his wife from Ajman were missing after they left for Fujairah to spend a holiday at a resort in Dibba Fujairah. "After an extensive search, police found their vehicle parked next to a wooden caravan in the tourist area. The police soon found the bodies inside.

Initial examination showed that the death was due to suffocation. The officer, an Emirati in his fifties and identified as MAKN, works for the Ajman Police in the rank of a colonel.
