Police in appeal to find missing two-year-old boy.

POLICE today appealed for help in tracing a missing two-year-old boy and his legal guardian.

Toddler Phoenix Barnes spent the weekend with Thomas Barnes, 34, at his home in Southport.

The youngster was due to be dropped off at his mother's home in the Holloway area of Islington, north London, on Sunday afternoon.

But the pair failed to show up.

Today police released pictures of the pair in the hope of tracing them.

Phoenix has collar-length blond hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing green trousers and blue sandals.

Mr Barnes is about 5ft 11in tall, thin with short brown hair and blue eyes.

He was wearing a red T-shirt and beige trousers.

It is thought Mr Barnes is likely to be pushing Phoenix in a grey McLaren Quest pushchair which has a sheepskin lining.

Anyone who knows where Phoenix and Mr Barnes might be, or has seen them about, should call Islington CID on 020 7421 0195 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
