Police in appeal after burglary; NEWS IN BRIEF.

BRITISH Transport Police are hoping to speak to a driver who they think may be able to help with an ongoing investigation into a burglary near Caerphilly station.

Having viewed CCTV footage, officers would like to speak to the driver of a black car with a white bonnet that was spotted on the roads around Caerphilly station at about 4am on May 30.

PC Chris Jones said: "We think the vehicle may be a cab so I would urge taxi drivers to cast their minds back and ask themselves if they were in Caerphilly at the time.

"We believe the driver of this vehicle may have information which could help us with our inquiries. I would urge the driver to come forward with any information they may have, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem."

Call British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
