Police hunt for man wanted back behind bars.
A CONVICTED burglar who mowed down a police officer with a scooter was today on the run.Officers were hunting for Kevin Weetman, from Anfield, who is wanted on recall to prison after breaking his probation requirements.
The 21-year-old is also wanted in connection with a burglary in the Everton area in March.
The home of a 40-year-old man in Dacy Road was broken into between 7am on March 21 and 10.30pm on March 22.

In October 2006, PC Dave Hudson was left fighting for his life after he was mowed down by a scooter driven by Weetman, who was 15 at the time. He suffered long-term brain damage from the crash which happened in Whitefield Road, Everton, and was forced to retire.
In February 2007, the ECHO revealed that Weetman, who was subject to an anti-social behaviour order, had 15 previous convictions when he was sentenced.
Weetman was given an eight-month sentence for dangerous driving which ran consecutively with an existing 16-month term he had already been given for breaching his ASBO.
In March 2010, he was given three years in a young offenders' institution after breaking into a house in Willaston, Cheshire.
Officers were urging Weetman or anyone who knows his whereabouts to call 0151 777 4840 or 0800 555 111.
