Police hold drop-in session.

RESIDENTS in Newcastle are being invited to a meet-and-greet session with their local police officers.

Officers in Gosforth are encouraging residents and visitors to call in for a chat and to pick up some crime prevention advice at the event on Monday, from 10.30am to 11.30am at Trinity Church Cafe on the town's High Street.

Police Community Support Officer Shaun Cowan will be on hand to have a chat about any local policing issues.

He said: "I'm looking forward to meeting people and talking to them about the work we do in Gosforth to police the local community."

Anyone who has concerns about crime or disorder where they live should contact their local neighbourhood policing team on 101, ext 69191.
