Police group co-ordinates abuse cases.
A NATIONAL police group is being set up to link child sex abuse investigations involving public figures and institutions such as schools and care homes.
The body, which will meet next month, has asked all 43 police forces in England and Wales as well as the PSNI and Police Scotland for details of ongoing inquiries.
Chief officers and senior investigators could sit on the group, which may see forces share information.
There are several ongoing inquiries across the UK into alleged historic sex crimes.
They include Operation Pallial, looking at claims of sex abuse in North Wales Allegations of a paedophile ring links to Westminster have also been made.
