Police force appeal for volunteers.

KEEN bikers, communicators and searchers for missing people are being asked to join North Wales Police as volunteers.

The force is seeking people to help coordinate community speed watch groups and Quality of Service volunteers keeping regular contact with victims of crime.

They are also looking for Search Team volunteers to help find missing people.

Anyone over 18 can apply. Those who are successfull will receive training and be entitled to claim out of pocket expenses.

This appeal is being timed to coincide with UK-wide volunteer week.

The closing date for applications is June 30.

Candidates must meet the force vetting and eligibility criteria.

North Wales Police said the UNISON has been 'fully briefed' about the volunteering vacancies.
