Police fear thugs attacked twice.
A TEENAGER had his nose broken after he was head-butted and mugged by two men.
And police fear the same thugs were responsible for leaving a pensioner with a cut face.
The 16-year-old and his friend were approached by the men as they stood near the railings leading to the underpass in Battens Drive, Redditch.
One of the men headbutted the boy and stole his mobile phone, leaving him needing hospital treatment.
Police believe the same pair may also be responsible for a further incident later the same night in Plymouth Road, Southcrest, Redditch.
Two men smashed the window of a 73-year-old man's red Toyota Corolla, leaving the pensioner needing treatment for a cut cheekbone.
DC Gary Mole, of Redditch CID, said: "The victims in both of these incidents have suffered injury and distress and we are determined to find those responsible.
"We believe that the offenders may be from the local area and we are appealing to anyone who can help us to identify them to get in touch."
The first attacker was white, 18 to 22, 5ft 10ins tall of a slim to medium build.
He had short dark brown or black hair and was wearing a dark jumper and white tracksuit bottoms.
The second offender was also white, around the same age and slightly shorter.
He had fair hair and was wearing a tracksuit top and dark bottoms.
The incidents took place between 7.30pm and 9.30pm on Wednesday, December 28.
