Police appeal for farm theft items.
The theft was reported at Coldstream Farm in Croxdale, County Durham. A large amount of horse riding equipment was stolen along with a Land Rover vehicle and trailer.
The horse riding property stolen included: a tan coloured brand-new Winteck western saddle complete stirrups, leathers, saddle pad, girth and irons; a brown leather English saddle, a black English general purpose saddle and a black endurance saddle; three rugs, a rare vintage US Cavalry saddle (circa 1904) and dozens of English bridles in brown, black and tan.
The stolen trailer is described as being built recently using Knott Avonride axles, brakes, suspension, jack and tow hitch. It was painted aluminum silver grey. The Land Rover has been recovered. The bed was black-grey plastic coated ply, 1.8m wide, about 5m long.
