Poet's joy.

A YOUNG poet from Tyneside has seen his work published in a national book about the environment.

Kyle Redublo, eight, from St Cuthbert's RC Primary School, in North Shields, has been chosen as one of the poets to feature in The Green Book of Poetry after SCEMES, a school supply company, ran a national competition.

Kyle's poem, The Storm, is one of 45 works to feature in the new anthology, which explores an environmental theme.

Bill Laar, author and judge of the competition, said: "The writers displayed a real awareness and understanding of the nature, function and purpose of poetry and wrote with freshness and imagination."
