Poet's corner; Letters.

Summer is now over and winter's on the way The weather's getting colder every single day Very soon the fire will need to be lit I can't stand the winter one little bit.

When I was younger I quite enjoyed the snow But now I'm getting older I just don't want to know I hate it when I'm shivering because it gets so cold It affects me even more these days because I've now gone bald.

I wish I could hibernate six months in my bed Wake up when spring arrives and winter's truly dead I love it when the nights draw out and it's light until ten But all too soon they draw back in and away we go again.

But all too soon they draw back in and away we For me global warming seems a good idea If it means I will be warmer all through the year With no expensive gas bills left for me to pay Perhaps I will be happy then every single day.
