Podcasts in Wyoming.

A recent study from the School of Nursing at Central Wyoming College found that students accessing lecture podcasts achieved an average 6.5 percent increase on their final exams compared to scores from the prior academic veal CWC introduced Echo360 lecture capture technology in January 2007 to address the challenges faced by nontraditional students trying to balance careers and family while earning their degree and to overcome issues of geography for students commuting between its two campuses. The campuses in Riverton and Jackson are more than 170 miles apart. Students can take full advantage of long commutes by listening to recorded lectures (podcasts) and stay current during inclement weather. At the conclusion of each class, the nursing lecture and visual aids are available for replay within minutes as audiovisual or audio-only digital files. CWC intends to enhance its podcast offerings to include learning modules for students needing additional information on complex topics."
