Please get the timings right for new aquarium.

If you plan a trip to Sharjah Aquarium with your kids (and you should), beware of the call centre agent; they don't know the opening hours and days.

I travelled all the way to Sharjah from Dubai after a call agent assured me that the aquarium is open to find out that it is not! My three-year-old son was disappointed after I'd hyped him up for the visit.

The good news however is that instead of being turned down, the staff there (security and management) were extremely sensitive and allowed us in.

Not only were we roaming around the aquarium without the hassle of other visitors, but the manager also allowed us into backrooms where only a few can enjoy the beauty of those little sting rays, not accessible to regular visitors.

In short, to the Sharjah Aquarium higher management, please make sure your call agents know their stuff, and to the nice man who let us in, thank you; without your flexibility, my son would have been very disappointed.

Last word, the aquarium is nice to visit if you want to escape Dubai's heat; interesting and interactive; great place for an inquisitive child; you might be the lucky one taking a close look at that octopus who is always in hiding!
