Plea for details about picture.

Byline: By Ray Marshall

We think this picture is of choristers at school in Durham. It was sent in by Elizabeth Devlin, of Middlesbrough, whose father, Robert William Tindale, is in the picture. Elizabeth is asking Remember When readers if they can help with more information.

"My father is the tall one, near the middle of the back row, the last from the right hand side without a mortar board," said Elizabeth.

"I wonder if anyone would know what year this was taken and if there was any more information.

"My father died in 1952, in his mid-thirties and at that time was a police sergeant at Ryton.

"He was one of five children, his father was a blacksmith at Brancepeth Village and his mother was postmistress."

If you've information for Elizabeth get in touch with Remember When.
