NEWCASTLE United players and staff will be rewarded with a share of a bonus at the end of the season after winning automatic promotion.
The Chronicle understands the bonus will be PS5million after the squad claimed back their Premier League place.
The prize pot will be distributed between first team squad members and backroom staff, with players' final bonus payment dependent on how many appearances they have made across the 46-game Sky Bet Championship campaign.
The bonus was agreed at the start of the season with club chiefs agreeing that automatic promotion would trigger this year's prize pot.
It is understood that the club's administration staff will also be paid a separate bonus.
Newcastle players have missed out on their bonus payments in the last two seasons after failing to earn a top 10 finish.
The last time Toon players picked up an end-of-season bonus was in the 2013/14 season when Alan Pardew's side staggered to a 10th place finish with just two wins from the last 10 games.
Back then Pardew ended the season banned from the touchline and was booed every time he stood up in the final game of the season against Cardiff despite a 3-0 win.
United will pick up PS7.1million if they manage to wrestle the Sky Bet Championship title from Brighton this weekend.
