THE title-chasing second team take centre stage this weekend as Tees Valley Mohawks' senior side enjoy a well-earned rest.

Mohawks II host Newcastleunder-Lyme College Knights at Teesside University's Olympia Building in Middlesbrough tomorrow (4pm tip-off) knowing a win would guarantee them a League Division Four play-off spot.

They currently lead Stockport Spartans on points difference with a game in hand.

And if their main rivals lose to Liverpool tomorrow, Mohawks II will be crowned champions.

Only the two top go through to the play-offs and Mohawks II currently lead Division Four (North) with a 10-2 record.

Tomorrow's visitors are in good form too and have only lost once in 2013.

Their impressive run included a 29-point win over the Spartans last weekend.

Alex Moore hit 25 points in an impressive performance last weekend as Mohawks won at Hull, and coach Tony Hanson wants more of the same tomorrow.

"I need all my team to be ready," he added.

It has been a great season all round for the club so far with the juniors second in the National Under-18 League North-east Conference and the first team challenging for runners-up spot in League Division One.

Entry to tomorrow's match is PS2. Specctators are asked to be seated by 3.30pm
