Plastics Conduit

Thomas and Betts Ltd of Foster Avenue, Woodside Park, Dunstable, Befordshire, tel: 0582 608101 have brought out a plastics conduit system that offers protection to IP 66 standard. They tell us that no additional gaskets, seals or mechanical interlocks are needed.

Shureseal conduit prevents the ingress of moisture by means of seals incorporated in the systems' two-piece re-usable fitting. The fitting is simply snapped together on the end of the conduit, and a screwdriver slot is provided for quick release.

This conduiting is available in the two standard thread forms, and the fitting provides 360o retention to the conduit for high pull- off force and controlled rotation. A range of standard fittings is available and the conduit itself has an annular ring design to give flexibility and stop fluid spiralling down its length.
