Plasma treater handles parts in bulk. (Auxiliaries).

A new low-pressure gas-plasma treating system is designed for high-volume processing of bulk plastic parts. Model VG620-2G from Plasmatech, Inc., Erlanger, Ky., has a large rotating basket that ensures uniform treatment of thousands of parts. Once parts are loaded, the system automatically moves the basket into the chamber, then removes it and empties out the treated parts. The unit has a microwave plasma generator said to give more efficient and uniform treatment, along with lower processing temperatures, than traditional RF systems. Standard features include PLC control, mass-flow controllers, process recipe storage, and sequencing of recipes to process multiple materials. *99*
