Pittsburgh brew sells out in record time.

The inaugural brewing of Pittsburgh Brewing Co.'s J.J. Wainwright's Select Lager sold out after only two weeks on the market, the company reported.

"We believe J.J. Wainwright's Select is already a very successful product launch," said Jack Isherwood, president of Pittsburgh Food & Beverage, the brewery's parent company. "Even though the product is not advertised, the demand has been so great that we moved up our schedule for the next brew.

"We've only promoted J.J.'s informally." Isherwood continued, "through tastings at a few local bars, restaurants, and cultural events, but the word is definitely out that this is an exceptional beer."

The brewer noted that the original 48,000 bottles of the product were sold out less than two weeks after the mid-January launch. The next brew has already begun, though it will not be ready for the market until this week.
