Pittsburgh Brewing relaunches brand.

The Pittsburgh Brewing Co. has responded to consumer demand by reintroducing I.C. Golden Lager, a brand marketed in the Pittsburgh area that was first introduced in 1984.

I.C. Golden Lager was withdrawn from production in 1987 by previous owners to accommodate contract production.

"We're reintroducing Golden Lager for one very simple reason: Pittsburghers requested it," noted Jack Isherwood, Pittsburgh Brewing president. "Ever since the day it was taken off the market five years ago, we have received a steady stream of calls and letters from distributors and consumers asking us to bring back one of Pittsburgh's favorite beers. Now, thanks to our return to local ownership, we're very pleased to do so."
