Piraeus renames investment fund manger/.

Fenex Kato for Investment Funds Management, which manages the shares of Piraeus Bank's investment fund, was renamed Piraeus-Egypt for Securities Portfolio and Investment Funds Management, the bank said in a statement.

Piraeus- Egypt for Securities Portfolio and Investment Funds Management Company also manages Piraeus Bank's monetary fund in addition to individual and corporate various portfolios in the Egyptian stocks and the fixed income tools.

Ahmed Attallah, managing director, said, "We are happy by the name change as it reflects the company's belongingness to Piraeus Group and we will exert every effort to progress in achieving the best performance so that we could benefit our customers."

The company commenced its activity in 1999 under the name of Lazar for Investment Funds Management and was later renamed Fenex Kato.

Piraeus Bank acquired it in 2006.
