Pip, Pip hurray.. PIPPA & BRIAN WED IN STAR STUDDED BASH.

Byline: RICHIE TAYLOR

GORGEOUS Pippa O'Connor tried to be fashionably late for her wedding yesterday - but ended up trapped in her limo in a massive downpour.

The beautiful bride-to-be turned up 30 minutes late to St Patrick's Church in Curtlestown, Co Wicklow.

But groom Brian Ormonde, 31, was left waiting even longer when the sudden rainstorm trapped her in her limo.

One onlooker said: "It took a good 10 minutes to get the car near enough to the church door for Pippa to make a run for it."

Despite the weather Pippa, 26, looked stunning when she finally walked up the aisle on the arm of proud dad Tadhg.

Brain and his best man, former Eurovision singer Mickey Harte, had arrived at 12.40pm and welcomed all the guests who arrived in two luxury coaches from the Ritz Carlton Hotel, where the reception was later held.

Celeb guests included soccer ace Robbie Keane and his wife Claudine Palmer, sexy Rosanna Davison and Wesley Quirke, Andrea Roche and partner Rob White, Brian's former TV colleague Laura Woods, and Pippa's showjumping brother Cian O'Connor and his partner Ruth Maysun.

Brian's 10-year-old daughter Chloe was a flower girl, while Pippa's bridesmaids were schoolpals Niamh Martin and Avril Flynn.

Dave Ormond and former Big Brother star Brian Dowling were ushers. The ceremony was conducted in the tiny church, which holds only 150, by Fr Pat O'Brien.

Emotional Laura Woods said the ceremony was "really lovely, it was just so romantic - so, so beautiful and the priest was a real joker".

Model Rosanna Davison said it brought a tear to the eye of nearly every woman there - including herself.

Robbie Keane's wife Claudine said: "She looked incredible. It's bringing back memories of my own wedding, which we also held in the Ritz Carlton. Now I gotta to run - Robbie is waiting and you know what men are like."

Brian wore a light grey Tommy Hilfiger suit with waistcoat, Pippa looked stunning in a layered creation by Monique Lhuillier, which she bought in New York. The bridesmaids wore Etthan and Eliza creations in a pale salmon colour. Back at the hotel they dined in Gordon Ramsey's restaurant with more friends, family and scores of models joining for the afters.

There was a selection of sumptuous starters and mouth-watering desserts, with a main course offer of top-of-the-range beef or fish.

A unique inclusion was the offer of a candy buffet from the Sweet Treat Company, which had candy selections on each table, and many of the guests opted for them instead of dessert.

Mickey, Brian's best pal, sang the couple's romantic first dance - a version of the romantic Lady Antebellum hit When You've Got a Good Thing.

The happy day came to a false ending at midnight when a huge fireworks display lit up the sky over Wicklow. But back inside the party was only starting.
