Kyle: Next year I plan to study mechanical engineering at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, and minor in math as well.
Q. What are your long-term goals?
Kyle: They include finding a local and well-paying job as a mechanical engineer, finding a wife and raising a family when ready, and living the most enjoyable life that I can.
Q. What adult in your life made the biggest impact on you?
Kyle: Mr. Kyle Heckert made the biggest impact on my high school career and subsequent choices. Aside from the abundance of mathematical knowledge I gained from him, he taught me to maintain a great work ethic. I learned that I will be challenged many times throughout life, and that I need to keep striving to overcome these obstacles to become the best I can be. Lastly, he taught me to remain positive because nothing worth it in life is given, it must be earned.
