Pilot Operation of Empty Quarter Check Point.

Muscat, Jun 6 (ONA) ---- Royal Oman Police (ROP) carried out a drill for pilot operation of the Empty Quarter (Al Robaa Al Khali) land check point that connect the Sultanate to the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to ensure its readiness for operation.

Lt.Gen Hassan bin Mohsen al- Shariqi, Inspector General of Police and customs visited the check point and viewed the drill, as well as the performance of the relevant organizations. He also ensured that all procedures are in place to guarantee the successful operation of the check point. He gave instructions to simplify procedures to ensure smooth traffic of travelers and goods.
