Pillion-riding youngster taken to hospital after crash.

A 13-YEAR-OLD boy, who was riding as a passenger on a motorcycle, was taken to hospital following a collision.

South Wales Police said the crash on Barry Road, Penarth, involved a motorcycle which was carrying a child as a pillion passenger.

The crash happened on Sunday at around 6.30pm, a few hundred metres from the Barons Court pub.

A police spokeswoman said a 51-year-old man and a 13-year-old child were taken to hospital for treatment.
