Pike & Fischer starts weekly online pub to cover voice-over-IP industry.

Pike & Fischer (Silver Spring, MD), a unit of the Bureau of National Affairs (Wash., D.C.), has begun the production of VoIP Monitor (voip-monitor. com), a new online, weekly (48 times a year) publication that covers the IP telephony field. An annual subscription costs $495 for those using broadband; non-broadband users pay $595.

The company said the new title is designed to offer analysis and information for cable operators, phone companies, equipment suppliers, application providers, their counsel and other attorneys involved in the development of the VoIP industry. Editorial will cover: state and federal legal, regulatory and legislative developments governing IP telephony service offerings; analysis of the technological evolution of VoIP, including innovations, deployments, specifications and standards; analysis and reporting of IP telephony capital and operating expenses, revenue requirements, venture financing and stock market developments; industry projections; and, market share.

Pike & Fischer president Meg Hargreaves noted that "VoIP has the potential to make rapid and radical shifts in the communications business and regulatory landscape."
