Pietta Firearms Expands To U.S.
Italy-based Pietta Firearms, longtime maker of historical firearm reproductions, announces its complete line is available in the U.S. This line now also includes modern firearms.
Based in Gussago, Italy, Pietta has been family owned and operated for more than 50 years. The company has long been respected for its Western replica pistols, shotguns, single-action rifles and black-powder firearms, and seeks the same success with its modern-day firearms.
Founder Giuseppe Pietta started learning the art of gun-making when he was just 14 years old. At age 22, he collaborated with a factory and set up a room in his home to machine and finish gun parts. His products were soon in great demand, and his brother joined him in gun making.
The Pietta brothers' passion for historic American firearms--models that looked, functioned and shot just as they had a century earlier--became their hallmark. Their first replica of Colt's 1851 Navy black-powder revolver gained a foothold among American merchants, and led to award-winning replicas of other popular Old West firearms.
"For many years we have supplied some of America's premier sporting goods stores with our reproductions and black-powder firearms. We are now very excited to offer all of our product lines to dealers throughout the country. My father started Pietta Firearms as one of the premier firearm manufacturers in Italy. It is now up to our generation to expand on this foundation," said Alessandro Pietta, VP of Pietta Firearms.
At SHOT Show 2019, Pietta unveiled its Chronos Rifle, a gas-operated (with short stroke) rifle, and a complete line of semi-auto shotguns.
