There was trouble and strife on the Good Morning Britain set again this morning when viewers witness a clash between outspoken presenter Piers Morgan and weatherman Alex Beresford.

As Piers and co-host Susannah Reid spoke to Alex about the forecaster today, it didn't take long for things to get heated.

And when the former Mirror editor made a joke that anyone could do the weather, Alex decided he'd had enough and walked across set and out the door, reports Devon Live.

Things didn't get any better when Alex returned. In fact, things got even more awkward.

As Piers demanded the weather forecast from him as he was going to the cricket tomorrow, Alex told him "I don't work for you," as the host then cut him off and said he would resort to Google instead.

Piers then added: "This is how I get rid of people on this show, can somebody out there just tell me the answer.

"Actually I tell you what I am going to do I am going to Google it, this is the new Alex Beresford."

Viewers took to social media to talk about it with some branding Piers as 'vile' for his behaviour towards Alex.

One said: "Piers constantly picks on Alex ur vile rude, disgraceful behaviour 2wards him hes a great guy u obviously have something against him ITV This is not acceptable behaviour"

Another tweeted: "Pretty pathetic watching Piers Morgan carry on like that towards Alex"

While another said that they'd love to see Alex and Piers swap jobs.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6.30am.
