Picture clue to dumped tot dad.
THIS is believed to be the mystery dad who dumped his newborn baby in the street inside a Marks & Spencer carrier bag.
The shadowy figure was filmed by CCTV cameras pacing up and down the road in the dark before apparently abandoning the 7lb 12oz boy outside a Gloucester theatre at 6am on Monday.
The baby started crying when street cleaner Bernard Keveren, 45, prodded the bag with his litter picker stick 20 minutes later.
The healthy baby, named Mark by nurses, was being cared for yesterday at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.
Police released the CCTV picture after his parents failed to come forward. Detective Sergeant Jo Harding said: "The man is wearing a very distinctive dark coat with lighter coloured writing or a logo on the back. He is carrying something but we can't be certain it is the bag.
"It is unusual for a man to be involved in something like this.
"It adds a different dimension to the usual inquiry about abandoned infants, which usually involve women."
