I am Cherie Jacque. I am 12 years old and in the seventh grade at Roosevelt Middle School. I have done jazz, tap, hip hop and a little bit of hula dancing. I also compete at level 4 in the Junior Olympics and love it. These popcorn balls are fun.

Popcorn Balls

8 cups plain popped popcorn

1 packet (3 ounces) Jell-O (flavor of your choice)

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup light corn syrup

Pop popcorn in air popper or microwave.

When fully popped, spray a large bowl lightly with non-stick spray and place popcorn in the bowl. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, stir together Jell-O and sugar. Mix in corn syrup and stir until it comes to a boil. Carefully pour mixture over popcorn and quickly stir until evenly coated.

Butter your hands and roll the mixture into orange-sized balls. Place on waxed paper to cool. Wash hands and enjoy!

Makes about 12 balls.
