Phony ecumenism. (you may be right).

I read Peter Gilmour's May Odds & Ends, "The Muslim Mary." Gilmour suggests inviting Muslims to participate in our May crowning and even have a Muslim woman perform the crowning. Now this is nothing but a bunch of touchy-feely political correctness that the church can do without.

Unfortunately, the church has been moving in this direction ever since the debacle of Vatican II, and all this has given people like Gilmour a forum. What he is proposing is nothing new; it's the same phony ecumenism that has been going on for more than 30 years.

When are Gilmour and others of his ilk going to get it into their liberal heads that, although God does not love us Catholics any more than he loves Muslims, Jews, and Protestants, they are not us and we are not them. Stop pushing this false and phony togetherness.
