Phoenix Contact.

Phoenix Contact has announced the release of two new serial copper-to-copper repeaters, designed to extend the speed, distance and physical network structure limitations of the RS-485 data communications standard. The PSI-REP-PROFIBUS-12MB module was designed specifically for the Profibus protocol and supports data transmission speeds up to 12Mb. The PSI-REP-RS485W2 module, designed to interface into networks following the RS-485 two-wire standard, supports data rates up to 500K. The modules are designed to ensure that data networks continue to run even in noisy industrial environments. They include features such as high-quality four-way isolation, integrated surge protection with transient discharge to the DIN-rail and bit retiming of distorted data signals sent in over copper line. 800-322-3225, www.phoenixcon.com.
