Philippines : DavNor guv creates task force for illegal drug victims.
Encountered with almost 15,000 illegal drugs users and pushers who submitted for rehabilitation, Davao del Norte Governor Anthony del Rosario signed on Monday (August 22) an executive order establishing the Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC) and creating task force with his initials, Aksyon Gamutan at Rehabilitasyon (AGR).
According to Provincial Administrator Samson Sanchez, the PADAC replaces the Provincial Drug Abuse Prevention and Rehabilitation Board (PDAPRB) that had its first meeting last July 18.
Sanchez emphasized during the recent Kapihan sa Kapitolyo that the move to create the PADAC was to be consistent with the BADAC in the barangays and CADAC/MADAC in the city and municipality level.
Adunay BADAC, MADAC, ug CADAC, pero pag-abot sa probinsya PDAPRB. Nakita namo na walay consistency, that is why the governor execute another executive order creating PADAC repealing and amending some of the functions of PDAPRB, he said. (There are BADAC, MADAC and CADAC, but when it comes to the province (we have) PDAPRB. We saw that there was no consistency, that is why the governor execute another executive order creating the PADAC repealing and amending some of the functions of PDAPRB).
