Philippines : BJMP honors performing units, staff.

The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) in the Cagayan Valley region recently recognized its outstanding employees, jail stations and partners whose exemplary performance have contributed in safekeeping and development of inmates.

This years awardees include the Quirino Provincial Administrators Office as best jail provincial administrators office while the Cabarroguis District Jail in Quirino was adjudged as best district jail. San Mateo Municipal Jail in Isabela received the best municipal jail award.

Individual awards were also bestowed to the following jail officials: Jail Supt. Roger D. Antonio as best senior officer of the year; Chief Insp. Juliet M. Miranda as best staff officer; Senior Insp. Rene Waldo Moran as best junior officer; Insp. Susan Encarnacion as best district jail warden; Insp. Marlou Aquino as best provincial administrator, Insp. Jose Bangug, Jr. as best municipal jail warden; Jail Officer 3 Maryjane Castaneda as best female non-commissioned officer; Jail Officer 2 Peter Delizo as best male non-commissioned officer; Jail Officer 2 Joe Luis M. Guillermo as best district jail paralegal; Jail Officer 1 Michelle Tomas as best municipal jail paralegal; and Jail Officer 1 Roger B. Alejo as best female dorm paralegal.

Special recognitions were also given to Governor Junie E. Cua of Quirino, Santiago City mayor Joseph S. Tan and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH)-Isabela 4th engineering office for their significant contribution in realizing the projects and programs of the jail facilities.

Jail Chief Supt. Allan Sullano Iral, BJMP operations chief, thanked everyone for their support especially in the promotion of the inmates general welfare and development.

Iral urged BJMPs personnel to continuously demonstrating enthusiasm and dedication in ensuring the strategic operational efficiency in the organization.

BJMP regional director Nida G. Ramos also urged the regions jail workforce to maintain a safe and clean jail environment and to ensure inmates remain in good health.
