Philippines : ARMM holds Job Business Economy Consumer Summit.

The Department of Trade and Industry of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (DTI-ARMM) held a three-day summit on Trabaho Negosyo Kabuhayan Konsyumer (TNKK) on October 9, 10, and 11 here.

The summit is part of the celebration of the Consumer Welfare Month, which focuses on the protection of consumers, including their interests and vitality of the nations economy.

Attended by employees of the regional government as well as the private sectors, the event featured franchise business opportunities and became a venue for topics such as financial empowerment, small business and entrepreneurial development, sustainable business, and industry development.

Meanwhile, DTI-ARMM Secretary Anwar Malang described franchising as the fastest method of business expansion. Franchising works because it duplicates an already successful business. There is already a system in place, the product is ready.

It is important that you know the package of the franchise youre applying for. Good thing is, there are lots of franchising available from small to big capitalization, Malang added.

The summit also included parallel activities like jobs fair, skills and training seminars, and business and educational fora.
