PHAENOMENA can continue her progression in the EBF Nominated River Eden Fillies' Stakes at Lingfield.

A really competitive field has gathered for the Listed event, including last year's winner Tempest Fugit, but it might be wise to concentrate on the younger generation, who have a cracking record in this.

Godolphin's impressive Kempton winner Speckled is a likely improver as the maiden in which she finished third on debut has worked out exceptionally well. However, Lingfield's short straight may be against the long-striding filly.

Trained by Lady Cecil, Phaenomena did not run last year and failed to break her maiden until the fourth time of asking at Newbury.

The other Listed event, the 32Red/ Fleur De Lys Fillies' Stakes, can go to Richard Hannon's Indignant.

She has been ultra-consistent all year, apart from when disappointing in a Group Three at Goodwood, but any horse can be forgiven for a belowpar run there.

Having bounced back in a good handicap at York, when just touched off by Dutch Rose, she deserves to step back up in class.

Roger Varian has gone on record saying how much he thinks of Horsted Keynes and he should take all the beating off bottom weight in the Download The Ladbrokes App Handicap.

All his races have been on an artificial surface to date and he made a mockery of his mark of 76 at Wolverhampton last time out.

He is 7lb higher and in a better race, but Varian's string remain in great form.
