Pharmasset moves house.

Drawn by the New Jersey talent pool, exceptional industry infrastructure and attractive quality of life, a leading Georgia-based pharmaceutical company has opted to call Princeton, N.J. its home. Pharmasset, an antiviral drug discovery and development company, has leased 31,000 s/f of space at College Park at Princeton Forrestal Center for its new corporate headquarters.

The new lease was announced by Vincent Marano, COO of National Business Parks, managers of College Park.

"It is a pleasure to welcome Pharmasset to Princeton and to College Park. We feel that their choice of a new headquarters location underscores not just the attractions of the Princeton area but also the value of this corporate address--a prime Princeton location, an attractive campus-like environment and on-site professional management committed to the well-being of our tenants," said Marano.

Pharmasset, Inc. has leased the space at 303 College Road East. The company was represented by David Rubenstein, of Miller-Richmond Co., and Todd Stires, of Lamington Properties. Mr. Marano and Tom Stange, NBP leasing executive, represented Lawrence Zirinsky Associates, owners of College Park.

Pharmasset is an emerging pharmaceutical company committed to the discovery, development and commercialization of novel antiviral drugs. The company has entered into a collaborative licensing agreement with Incyte and Hoffman La Roche for development of drugs used in the treatment of HIV and Hepatitis C respectively. The new headquarters location will give Pharmasset easier geographic access to its New Jersey-and Delaware-based partners. The company had been based in Atlanta since its inception in 1998.

College Park, an award-winning 815,000 s/f complex fronting Route 1, has traditionally attracted multinational firms involved in research and development and finance. Current tenants include SES Americom, Panasonic and Bloomberg L.P.
