He came from the Bothwell Bridge Cat And Dog Home when he was nine weeks old.

What does he eat?

Dried dog food, pears, apples and raw carrots. He also loves the dog biscuits that we make for him.

Where is the name from?

He has big brown eyes and when we were taking him away from his three brothers, we thought he looked like a 'sad Sam'.

What does he like doing?

He loves playing with a ball and going for walks.

How does he behave around people?

He is very friendly and thinks everyone should make a fuss of him.

What's the oddest thing he has done?

A chicken-flavoured dry food mix from Pets At Home. She also likes cheese and dog biscuits.

Where is the name from?

We had lots of names but Millie just seemed to suit her.

What does she like doing?

Playing with her toys and travelling in the car. She also loves walking in the country, where she chases squirrels.

How does she behave around people?

She is shy to begin with but soon becomes everyone's best pal, especially for a treat. Although she is not too keen on the postman.

What's the oddest thing she has done?

She spotted a spider in the living room, sneaked up on it and ran away as fast as she could.

Mostly dried puppy food with tinned sardines.

My son Callum, who heard the name in a cartoon called Fairly Odd Parents.

What does he like doing?

He loves going for long walks in the moors where he can wander wherever he likes and also meeting his dog pals Rufus, Lara and Roy every morning for a play.

How does he behave around people?

He is a very sociable dog who likes people to shower him with attention and he loves nothing more than rolling on his back and having his tummy tickled.

What is the oddest thing he has done?

Every time football is on the television, he follows the ball and tries to catch it - without success yet!

She was abandoned on waste ground when she was a few weeks old and my daughter brought her home.

She loves chicken.

She walks like a lady as if she is in high heels with her long hair flowing.

Lady is very friendly and will go up to anyone and purr.

What's the oddest thing she has done?

She watches Sam make his porridge every morning as she knows she will get some (with milk, of course).
