Petromont.

Petromont (Montreal) and Union Carbide Canada (Toronto) will consolidate their chemicals and petrochemicals operations in Montreal.

Ownership of facilities will not change, instead, the businesses will operate under a new management structure. Petromont's olefins plant (Varennes, PQ) and the polyethylene and chemicals units in Montreal East will operate under one-plant organization. Union Carbide will be responsible for the chemical business, which it owns, and Petromont will be responsible for the administrative and plant services for both the chemicals and the PE business.
