Petrochina to boost crude oil output in Indonesia.

PetroChina said it will increase its crude oil production in Indonesia to 74,200 barrels per day in 2005 from 49,000 barrels in 2004. The Chinese oil company operates a number of oil blocks in various areas in the country. Its Administration Vice President Budi Setiadi said its oil production will include 38,300 barrels from the Jabung block in Sumatra, 13,500 barrels from Tuban block in East Java, 9,400 barrels from the Salawati basin in Papua, 11,700 barrels from a joint operation body contract in Papua and 1,300 barrels from the Banko block in Sumatra. Budi said he was confident the production could be achieved according to plan. (BI/12/01/05)
