Peter set for a better deal.

PETER Odemwingie will be offered a new Albion deal this summer as a reward for his excellent form.

That's according to Roy Hodgson, who believes it is only a matter of time before the Nigerian striker, scorer of 14 goals this season, is given improved terms.

Odemwingie has just one year, with a 12 month option in the club's favour, left on his current deal and has been the subject of speculation linking him elsewhere.

But Hodgson expects him to stay and sign an improved deal.

"The chairman works in a sensible way at this club and rewards players for doing a bit extra," said Hodgson.

"I'm very sure the club will be prepared to discuss an extention to Peter's contract.

"If that happens then you have to say he fully deserves it."
