Peter M. Ruotsi has been named chief commercial officer at Pacer Global Logistics (PGL) based in Dublin, Ohio. Ruotsi was most recently executive vice president of business development at Pacer Stacktrain in Concord, California.

PGL is the retail arm of Pacer International (Nasdaq:PACR), the North American freight transportation and logistics services provider. Ruotsi was associated with Xerox Corporation from 1968-1988, where he served as a senior line officer in Xerox's sales organization. Additionally, he served as a member of the team that developed and implemented Xerox's "total quality management" strategy, which led to Xerox receiving the coveted Malcolm Baldrige Award.

From 1990-1996, he held positions as executive vice president for sales and business development, and later executive vice president and general manager, of the intermodal division of Southern Pacific Transportation Company.
