Honouring editor and book advocate Peter Carver, the CANSCAIP Mentors Dinner included tributes from Groundwood publisher Patsy Aldana (seen with Peter Carver, above right), author and longtime colleague Brian Doyle and author Martine Leavitt (below right). A reluctant flyer, Leavitt came from Alberta for the occasion. The event also brought together four members of the Canadian Children's Book Centre staff from the 1980s--former Executive Director Virginia Davis (front), Peter Carver, and librarians Fred Boer and Judy Tye.
