Peru : Mobile comprehensive health campaign reaches the town of Punta Perdida in Puno.

The Regional Health Directorate (Diresa) Puno conducted a free comprehensive health campaign in the town center La Punta Perdida, located in the district of Santa Rosa del Collao, at an altitude of 4614 meters above sea level.

Up to this area, health personnel from various specialties were displaced aboard the My Health Regional Program, which is involved in the recovery of the inhabitants who were affected by the emanation of the volcanic ash of Ubinas. This action was developed as part of the immediate response of the health sector to the eruptive process of the Ubinas volcano that also reached the Puno region. The inhabitants benefited from medications to relieve eye conditions and respiratory problems.

The head of the Diresa Puno, Ronald Chata Condori, who joined this activity, invoked the personnel of the health establishments in the high areas of the south of the Puno region, being prepared and continuing to carry out health information and prevention actions by emanation of volcanic ash. He also monitored the establishments where the volcanic dust passed and verified medical attention. It is worth mentioning that the effects of the intense volcanic activity of Ubinas also affected the towns of Arequipa and Tacna.
