PT Pertamina, an Indonesia-based oil and gas company, is aiming to acquire 100 percent of the offshore Mahakam gas block after 2027, according to Chief Executive Karen Agustiawan.

Agustiawan stated that the company aims to acquire 25 percent share initially, which will increase to 51 percent after 2017.

France-based Total Energy Incorporated (TOTY) and Japan-based Inpex Corporation (1605.TO) each have 50 percent share in the block, which is located at the Mahakam River delta in Southeast Kalimantan.
