Release date- 14082019 - Yogyakarta - Subsidiaries of Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE), Pertamina Hulu Energi Tuban East Java (PHE TEJ) and Pertamina Hulu Energi Randugunting (PHE Randugunting) continue exploration activities to find new oil and gas (oil and gas) reserves in Tuban, Efforts to find reserves Other new activities carried out by PHE TEJ this time are the 3D seismic survey and the WMA-1 Exploration Well, while for the Rembang area, in this case will develop a gas production well field.

Previously, in June 2019 PHE TEJ and PHE Randugunting had received full support from the Tuban Regency Government.

Support for these activities was expressed by Deputy Regent of Tuban, Noor Nahar Hussein in a series of socialization activities of the 3D PHE TEJ seismic survey.

General Manager of PHE TEJ & PHE Randugunting, Darwin Tangkalalo, emphasized that '3D seismic survey activities and WMA-1 Exploration wells in Tuban East Java field as well as the workover activity and construction of production facilities in the RGT-2 Well in the Randugunting field are important steps of PHE TEJ & PHE Randugunting in innovating and trying to support national energy security. '

Exploration activities using seismic methods are widely used by oil companies to map structures beneath the surface of the earth to be able to see the possibility of hydrocarbon traps based on interpretations of their seismic cross sections and exploration well drilling activities to ascertain the discovery of reserves in the area.

'These three projects, both 3D seismic, WMA-1 Exploration well drilling and the development of the RGT-2 well have entered an initial stage. It is expected that all stakeholders, especially communities around the operational area, can fully support the activities currently being carried out.' Darwin Tangkalalo continued.

In the course of the 3D seismic survey and drilling of WMa-1 exploration wells in the Tuban Work Area, it has gone through various stages including socialization, and data collection on areas that have an impact on the social environment.

Whereas for development in the Randugunting Work Area it is expected to be able to produce gas reserves of 3 MMSCFD through the RGT-2 well to improve industrial energy security.
